Huddleston to outline UNH strategic plan

CONCORD, N.H. – Feb. 1, 2010 – On Feb. 17, the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire, in partnership with the New Hampshire College and University Council, will host a special breakfast event, “Shaping the Future of UNH: A Conversation with President Mark Huddleston,” from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester.

University of New Hampshire President Mark Huddleston and UNH stakeholders have developed a plan to shape the future of the state’s flagship public university throughout the next decade. As a key provider of programs and services that ensure the continued economic and social well-being of the state, UNH needs to be well-positioned to adapt to an accelerated pace of change. Huddleston will share with state business leaders and decision-makers his vision for 2020, which includes working more closely with private-sector entrepreneurs to turn UNH’s intellectual capital into new ventures and new jobs for citizens.

“Shaping the Future of UNH” is sponsored by Fidelity Investments, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare of New England and Itaconix. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. Tickets for the breakfast are $25 for BIA, NHCUC and Capitol Connect members and $40 for non-members. Register at nhbia.org or call 603-224-5388 x116.
